Watch Bluray moives on my laptop (win7)?

Question

I'm new to Blu-Ray, but getting a new Sony Vaio laptop for Christmas, which has Blu-Ray disc support and does the whole DVD/CD player/burner as well. Will the laptop be able to copy, burn Blu-Ray discs onto a blank Blu-Ray (or DVD-R)?
Is there a way to watch Bluray movies on my laptop without the disk? I know I have to convert Bluray to video formats so that it will be played by windows media player on my laptop win 7.

You need a video converting tool to convert your Bluray movies to Win7 supported video format like avi.

First, since your laptop has a BD support, of course you can burn, copy, or rip blu-ray discs. Blank BD discs are obviously accepted. But if you want to copy BD to DVD-R, you will need to choose a partial (or similar) mode. At the same time, note that DRM is imposed on BD discs. You can choose to copy the discs or not, but it is illegal to spread it around.

Second, since you want to play Blu-ray movies on your laptop without inserting a BD disc every time, you will have to use a Blu-ray ripper program. imElfin Blu-ray Ripper is simple and practical. You can have a try. The output can be set as any common format such as AVI or WMV, thus it will be easy to play the ripped Blu-ray movies on your PC.

It will be able to play Blu-Ray discs. And you are also able to burn or copy BD discs, though this may be against DRM protection.
