So I am wondering if there is a way to leave movies from a DVD onto your computer. So when I take out the disc, the movie doesnt disappear as well.

Open Windows Explorer (you DO have Windows, right? because you didn't say what your Operating System is), then copy the movie by clicking on the file (right click>copy) and paste it into a folder that you create on your computer (right click>paste).

Download a free program called Handbrake. It's what I use. Easy, and it works.
