To play the movies on a DVD player you'll have to encode them to be suitable with DVD players.
To do this you'll need DVD Flick, you can download it here:

You'll also need ImgBurn, if you want to burn the files to a DVD. You can download it here:

There's a few things, the video has to be a normal format (wmv, mpeg etc) so that the DVD player can support it. If you're using a file type not supported by the player. it won't play. Also, when you burn the DVD, are you setting it to the correct region? Depending on where you live, DVD players will only support certain regions.

You must have 1?DVD recorders 2?blank CD(empty dvd)3?Nero Burning Rom
First of all, you need to put the blank disc into the recorder, then to run Nero startsmart and do some common settings. After that, you need to load files that you want to burn into the software according to the prompt.Last, start to burn.
Besides, you can use some DVD creator software,Imelfin DVD Creator is a good choice,it can burn DVD from 100+ video formats and can create 3D DVD.You can go to have a see.
