I want to convert a DVD video to MKV file, in addition, I do not want any quality loss, I just need a MKV file without any compression. Is it possible?

If you want to get a uncompressed MKV file, you need the knowledge about codec, however, this post might help you: http://ericolon.wordpress.com/2013/01/06/the-secrets-of-yify-and-high-quality-and-small-file-sizes-are-not-so-secret-after-all-encoding-high-quality-low-bitrate-videos-in-handbrake-for-any-device/

When you convert a video, you can invoid the quality loss. It's just the matter of the loss level.
